I want to demonstrate for you how to do niche research. For this example, take a look at www.dummies.com. This site is well known for basically creating guides, e-books, information, and training that help people discover how to do certain things. The companies that write books like this go out there and find the hottest topics to write about, topics they know people want to buy. Topics that people have a big interest in, then they create books.
The marketing department for these books team up with authors and they spend the time doing the research. They use the best available research technology and stats to determine what to put in these books. You invest the time and research into these niche because they find these markets to be profitable. They’re not going to venture into a space that isn’t already profitable. These books and these guides give you a really good indication as to the profitability and the potential for any niche market you may be interested in.
It may be a niche market where you want to pursue it further as an affiliate. You need to identify that niche, and then go out there and find products that you can promote.
I’m not recommending that you become an affiliate for www.dummies.com, because you just aren’t going to make much money promoting books like this. If you go to Clickbank and find related topics, at least this will give you a starting off to determine the niche market you may settle in on. Then you can look and try to identify affiliate programs that may fit with what you are trying to do.
Go to www.dummies.com and at the top you will see an area that says Shop for Books.
